Over 100 volunteers from across the country help the Nebraska Association of Student
Councils provide year-round services for Nebraska’s young leaders. The NASC
Volunteer Staff is an energetic, high-achieving group that’s always looking for new
volunteers to help promote leadership in Nebraska. We’d like you to consider joining us!
Our volunteers are high school and college students, educators, and professionals. Most Volunteer Staff members were student leaders themselves, who want to help others experience all that NASC has to offer. Although most staffers are alumni of the NASC Summer Leadership Workshops, we’re always on the lookout for volunteers who bring ideas and perspectives from other experiences as well. We encourage volunteers to stay involved with NASC as long as they continue to contribute, and some have contributed for as long as thirty years. We provide the following services on behalf of NASC:
-Senior High Summer Leadership Workshops (SLW)
-Junior High and Middle Level Summer Leadership Workshop (JAM)
-Advanced Leadership Workshop (ALW)
-One-Day Workshops throughout the year
-State and District Convention assistance
-Council Advocate Programs (CAP)
-NASC Web and Print Publications
If you are a current high school senior or high school graduate, you are eligible to apply for the NASC Volunteer Staff. You do not have to have attended an NASC event to join staff. You DO need to have a passion for youth leadership, and you DO need the time to commit to training and following through on responsibilities.
