What’s the key to a good pep rally?
Make sure that you have those students in school that are spirited involved. Also, make sure that you recognize all activities that are going on in school…like chess. Make everyone feel included and have plenty of energy. Another key is to PLAN and make them short and fast moving – the whole school can get pretty bored fast.
Get all the students involved in the activities. Also have rallies for all sports not just specific ones. Involve people from different groups involved in small group activities, not just the popular students. Keep it positive and don’t allow negativity. Finally keep it short.

The biggest key to a good pep rally is keeping an open mind. You need to fit to your school’s needs so they will have fun. Having fun makes a good pep rally. At my school, we have a big variety of people so we do many things such as teachers’ parades, cap contests and food eating contests. We try to mix it up. After you have planning in place, everyone needs to know what’s going on. Make sure every person have a job and knows where to go. If you are running the pep rally relax and don’t get stressed out. Have fun.
